Awesome, you are fully committed to wedding planning and it’s a GO GO GO
Bad news, you’ve started to look at the costs and trying to budget everything you want.
It’s natural to look at ways to manage the flood gates of 💰💰💰
Here’s the good news, I’ve got some great reasons to think about when costing your wedding and cutting back on your wedding photography.
SO 🚨don’t do the following just yet:
I’ve tried to condense the main reasons why you should always hire a professional below, there will be loads more things why you should but hopefully it will help you stop and think !
A professional photographer KNOWS what they are doing, for example:
Unfortunately you can’t guarantee a family friend won’t make a mistake, miss that special moment or breaks their equipment and can’t continue.
So don’t leave it to chance !
Let’s have a think about this for a second, the camera is simply a tool that is used by the REAL artist. The photographer is critical to getting the best out of the camera for YOU.
So let me put it another way, would you let a politician perform open heart surgery on you if they had the best scalpel ? NO you wouldn’t, so why would you trust an individual that couldn’t backup their claims ?
The photographer will be spending at least 8-10 hours throughout your wedding day with you, particulalary at times when you might feel vulnerable, stressed or plain freaking out. It’s so important that you must get on with each other as you’ll be in close contact throughout the day.
Can you imagine spending all day with someone you don’t like ? Wait don’t answer that !
It’s vitally important that you are comfortable with each other, why ?
No one wants to hear this, it happens on occasion:
People think of worst case scenarios ie What If ?
Don’t PANIC !
The worst case scenario is you have no photos of your big day at all!
A professional photographer will have a plan B, C, D, E, F. Plus they will be able to use the BAT SIGNAL as we all contacts to call upon if something was to happen., they will have several million backups backing up their backups backing up their backups.
Don’t forget this is your wedding day, so generally you only have one chance to capture your wedding day, so make sure you trust and get on with your photographer.
The wedding industry is a busy and competitive market and the same can also be said when it comes to wedding photography. Just like any other business sector there is plenty choice, all with different styles, prices and packages will differ. So do your research, then once you have decided you will be able to narrow down who you would shortlist to capture your wedding day.
My advice, please make sure you hire a professional wedding photographer. If you don’t you might regret it for the rest of your married life.
